The
Cottage
River
Cottage is one of those rare properties. It is a quaint and
slightly quirky country property that was originally built
as kennels for East Lodge next door - a two roomed gate house
for Kindrogan Estate and dates from the early 19th Century.
Indeed there is a passing reference to the lodge made by Queen
Victoria, in her journal of 1866, when she visited the area.
The cottage has recently been
converted to a very high standard to include a lounge, with
log burning stove, satellite TV, DVD and video, fully equipped
kitchen with dining area, (dish washer, washing machine, hob,
oven, etc), bathroom with bath and shower, and two bedrooms,
one double and one twin.
River
Cottage is a no-smoking cottage.
The
lounge leads out onto a large decked sun terrace which sits
on the edge of the river Ardle. Linen, towels, central heating,
electricity and logs are all provided free.
